I like sunglasses that work with my active lifestyle. I enjoy hiking, rock climbing, and mountain biking when I can get away on the weekends, and I generally get back to nature once every couple of weeks. Now, I have all the proper gear for my adventures, such as a helmet and gloves for bike riding and scaling up the face of a huge rock, or a first aid kit for those times that I bail out! Even with the bumps and scrapes, I wouldn’t trade my fresh air adventures for anything, but a friend of mine recently commented that I should get some proper eyewear to protect my vision out there in the glaring sun. Of course, I didn’t want to get a pair of shades that would impede my ability to get rowdy out there nor did I feel the need to look like a fashion plate and worry about designer sunglasses while climbing a sheer rock face.
My friend laughed at my logic but knew it made sense, especially coming from me, the practical thinker. But now that she brought it up, I realized that sometimes when I was out there squinting against the sun, I DID need a pair of sunglasses.
