| Where Cheap Sunglasses Fall Short |
| |
Have you ever been to a department store and drooled over the designer sunglasses you could barely afford and then conversely go over to a drugstore or mall sunglasses hut where you find that they have tons of cheap knockoffs? This has happened to everyone and depending on who you are, there is a good chance that you will end up buying that second kind of sunglasses mentioned. Who can blame you, either? They look like the real thing at a fraction of the cost. It appears to be too good to be true. In reality, most of the time, it is.
What you garner from inexpensive items is a subjective experience and it can be argued as to whether or not the allure of the cheap lies almost entirely in its price. However, when it comes to sunglasses, it is absolutely crucial that you don't skimp by purchasing the economical variety. The reason that good sunglasses are relatively expensive compared to cheap sunglasses is the promise that they offer 100% UVA and UVB protection. This essentially means that they have the ability to block out the harmful rays of the sun completely. Especially if you have sensitive eyes or you consider your vision to be something not to be taken for granted, this kind of optical armor is indispensable. In addition, their steeper price has alot to do with the general physical structure of the sunglasses. Depending on how you treat them, Ray Ban sunglasses and other authentic brands will have the durable prowess to last you for years to come and be an overall better fit.
Cheap sunglasses have a very superficial attraction. They look decent enough so that you are almost able to fool yourself into thinking that the inexpensive price makes up for the low quality. The truth of the matter is that cheap sunglasses scratch more easily, break more easily and are just generally undependable. If you really think about it in terms of rate of return, you are paying more for something much less. That's right--the five dollars that you are spending isn't even worth it when you find that you constantly have to replace your sunglasses after accidentally sitting on them. In the long run, it simply makes more sense to invest in real sunglasses such as Oakley sunglasses that may cost a bit more because they will offer years of wear. |
