| Snowboarders Need Polarized Sunglasses |
| |
If you are a snowboarder, you know how bad it can get on the slopes. Without the right polarized sunglasses you can burn your eyes out. A little known fact is that the intensity of ultra violet rays increase by 5 percent for every thousand feet of elevation. So the higher you get, the better the conditions for some sweet jumps, but with that comes even harsher conditions with UV rays and colder weather. With nothing to shield you from those harmful UV rays, you need to protect your eyes. That is why you must have polarized sunglasses if you plan on snowboarding. Polarized sunglasses are much stronger than your regular sunglasses when protecting your precious eyes from UV rays, so you will feel safe knowing you are protecting your eyes.
Something that someone with polarized sunglasses will never get is snow blindness. This is a temporary yet very painful condition where your eyes have been exposed to way too many UV rays. You experience temporary blindness and your eyes will be in so much pain. This is when the sun hits the snow or ice and then your eyes are exposed to that glare or reflection. Extremely painful and something that can be avoided with the right polarized sunglasses. Plus, polarized sunglasses are made with the action sports lover in mind. Meaning they are snug to the face but at the same time light weight. I have taken many falls with my polarized performance sunglasses and they have yet to fall off.
Don't even consider polarized goggles. Polarized goggles get the job done but can you take them to beach also? You can, but you wouldn't be nearly as cool if you brought your polarized sunglasses from the slopes to the waves. Plus goggles are extremely prone to fogging up because it traps all that heat inside the goggles. Polarized sunglasses are excellent, because you will be able to perform more tricks when you can see the slopes clearly. You'll be able to concentrate on committing to that rail or jump instead of squinting your eyes the whole time. Polarized sunglasses will help you become a better snowboarder. |
