The 2008 Olympics are well under way in Beijing, China and one thing I'm noticing is that a lot of athletes wear great sport sunglasses. Some brands have even come out with Olympic themed sport sunglasses to help athletes represent their country. Depending on the sport, it helps with clarity and accuracy. If our U.S. Volleyball team had to compete without the option of wearing Olympic sport sunglasses, it would be a much harder game to play taking into account the glare of the sun.
A lot of other sports use sport sunglasses because it improves their performance. The lightweight design of sport sunglasses help improve their performance without being too much of a nuisance. With some sport sunglasses, you often forget that you are wearing sunglasses at all. So if you strive to be like any of the Olympic stars, spending every waking minute training may not be the best idea. Instead get some sport sunglasses to help improve your performance. You may not win Olympic gold or even come close to any medal, but at least you'll look like a winner with Olympic sport sunglasses.
With quality polarized sunglasses, it helps improve their attention by getting rid of glare and makes everything clearer. The lightweight design of some of the top brands prevent the lens from shattering if hit by a ball or slammed against something. Sport sunglasses are a bit different than regular designer sunglasses, because even though many of them look good, they are made more importantly to enhance performance on the field and withstand being knocked around. The exciting sport of speedwalking was underway and many of these fine athletes wore sport sunglasses. Not so they look good while walking, but so they would not be distracted by glare and the bright sun. Instead these athletes, walked their way to the finish line wearing some of the best in sport sunglasses. Needless to say, the person who took gold was wearing sport sunglasses. I'm not saying that she won gold because of the sporty womens sunglasses she was wearing, she won because of her God given talent and hard work, but I'm sure it helped that she was wearing some. Think about it.
