How to Take Care of Your Designer Sunglasses

You purchased your own fantastic pair of Vogue sunglasses recently and have been treating them as if they were the most prized position you own. That is to say that you handle them so gingerly, your mother often asks you why you don't go ahead and bear her some children. Even if you care what your mother thinks, taking good care of your designer sunglasses is a must if you want to prolongue it's lifetime.

First thing you should take into account is maintaining the sunglasses' sheen by cleaning it. This is the most basic step of sunglasses care and yet, one of the most important. Use a cleaning solution that is composed of soft soap, water and alcohol. Make sure that the soap is nothing too abrasive and mix it with the water and alcohol. This solution is the same that you would use for normal glasses. Next, check the screws. Oftentimes, the temples can get flared out and its screws will become loose after many years of use. The main cause of this is the way you put on and take off your Vogue or Ray Ban sunglasses. You can do a lot of damage if you take them off incorrectly so you should know that you shouldn't remove your sunglasses in such a way that one side is stretched causing for the frame to be stretched and screws to get loose. Now that you are aware of this fact, you can go on fixing it. According to the kind of screw it uses, simply use a flat screwdriver or Phillip's head to tighten up the temples and the screws where the lenses are attached to the frame. The frame itself can get stretched and uncoiled over time so it's important to maintain and refurbish yours. If you feel as if you can't fix it, you should take it to your nearest optician who has more precise tools specific to eyewear.

Perhaps the leading cause of sunglasses damage has to do with where you put (or forget) it. Women have the bad habit of keeping them in their purse without a case. It is in here that they can scratched and dirtied by pens and the like. Men, likewise, typically put them in their pockets where they can not only get bent but the lens can crack. This is why it is important to invest in a sturdy case to protect them from such things. Another faux-pas that both men and women are guilty of is leaving their designer sunglasses in the car. It may seem convenient to place them there if you only use them while in the car, but it may be the least wise thing to do in maintaining the quality of your sunglasses. Especially if you live in a hot locale, your glasses can get bent out of shape or melt because plastic reacts adversely to heat. In addition, if you have polarized sunglasses, the lenses will get impacted by high heat and the chemical process will be eroded at the edges. Heat will deteriorate polarized protection resulting in a dissapating tint. Whatever you do, if you don't want to regret ruining your sunglasses, keep good care of them.
